Intensive French (2004-2005)
Since 2004, CASLT had been organizing the Intensive French Colloque for Experienced Teachers of Intensive French, which takes place during 2.5 days at UQAM in Montreal. As well, in 2005 and 2006, CASLT supported the symposium for training new Intensive French teachers and collaborated on the delivery of an information session for administrators and French as a second language consultants.
CASLT also started working on creating an Intensive French Toolkit for Administrators which would contain letters, forms, certificates, PowerPoint presentations, and much more to help administrators before, during and after an Intensive French year in their school or school board.
In addition, CASLT published the report An Examination of Intensive French: A Pedagogical Strategy for the Improvement of French as a Second Language Outcomes in Canada which is available here.
