Job opening - CASLT Executive Director
The Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers is seeking as Executive Director a dynamic and skilled leader who shares CASLT’s mission, vision and values, and will enable the association to accomplish its strategic goals. A NFP organization, CASLT provides leadership in second language education across Canada through networking opportunities, professional development and resources to support 5,000 members.
The Board invites applications from experienced self-directed professionals who demonstrate:
- Passion and enthusiasm for languages, learning and culture;
- Exceptional written and oral communication in both official languages, as well as strong interpersonal and computer skills;
- Effective educational project development and management skills;
- Skill in advocacy, proposal writing and the generation of funding partnerships;
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining networks, stakeholder relationships and partnerships with other associations;
- Proven administrative, human resources and sound financial management skills;
- Adaptability, ability to be creative, innovative and to think strategically.
Candidates should possess a post-secondary degree or equivalent. Association management experience and knowledge of second language education are assets. Our Staff
The CASLT staff is responsible for daily operations. Our Executive Director, Office and Membership Administrator, and our Communications and Publications Officer are available to answer your questions. Contract workers including Research and Education Officers and a Webmaster complement the small staff.
