Our Community
Our Partners
The Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers (CASLT) has formalized partnerships with many national and provincial organizations that have complementary goals in order to work together and provide a cohesive voice to promote the advancement of second language education in Canada. CASLT also develops project specific partnerships, for products or events that can be best completed by working jointly with organizations demonstrating expertise ensuring the success of the project or event.
CASLT believes the development of strategic alliances increases communication between stakeholders in all provinces and territories to ensure the successful implementation of pan-Canadian projects improving second language professional excellence. Affiliations with international organizations brings the CASLT and general Canadian second language expertise to the forefront, increases our profile on the international stage, and informs us of new trends to explore in the Canadian context.
French as a Second Language (FSL) Partners Network
CASLT is a founding member of the network that brings together administrators of national not-for-profit organizations with a primary interest in FSL, working together to act as policy resources to governments.
Joint Memberships with Provincial and National Groups
CASLT continues to offer affiliate memberships to the provincial and national language associations to better serve second language educators across Canada, to increase the number and quality of benefits available, and to increase the status of and representation for second language teaching in Canada.
