OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY

CASLT is committed to ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality and integrity of all personal information. The responsible collection, use and disclosure of the personal information provided by our members are important tenets in our organization.

We use the term "personal information" to describe most types of information such as: your name, home address and telephone number, credit card information and member identification number.

Publicly available information, or information on your business card, (such as your job title, business address, business telephone and fax numbers and work email address) is typically not considered personal information.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

CASLT often communicates with members regarding activities and during the membership recruitment process. We collect and use your personal information for the purpose of providing you with the programs and services you have requested from us, or for the purposes set out in this policy.

Your personal information is used to communicate with you related to membership in CASLT and services provided. CASLT may contact you from time to time to conduct surveys in an effort to continually improve our programs and service offerings.

CASLT will only ask for information about you that we need and will only ask for it when we need it. When we ask you for the information, we will explain to you why we need it and what we are going to do with it. We will seek your prior consent to the collection, use and disclosure of the information as required by applicable privacy legislation. Subject to legal and contractual requirements, you can refuse to consent to our collection, use or disclosure of information about you. You may also withdraw your consent to any further collection, use or disclosure of information about you at any time by giving us reasonable notice. If our intended disclosures or uses of information change, we will notify you accordingly.

Information, which does not identify individuals, collected through surveys, existing files and public archives may be used by CASLT to analyze its markets and to develop or enhance program offerings and service.

Disclosure

To enable us to more efficiently provide the programs and services you have requested from us, CASLT may share your personal information with selected third parties who are acting on our behalf as our agents, suppliers or service providers. Such third party service providers are provided only with such information as is necessary in the circumstances and only after having received your general consent. Information provided to third parties may be used only for the purpose stipulated and is subject to strict terms of confidentiality.

Accuracy

CASLT commits to ensuring that information we hold about you is as accurate, complete and as up-to-date as possible. Please inform us of any changes to your personal information including name, address or other related file information. See contact information at the end of this document. In the event you have questions about the accuracy of factual information we have collected about you, you will have access to that information to verify and update it.

Security

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Security measures, such as locked cabinets, restricted access and the use of passwords and encryption have been adopted to protect your personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, etc. Our employees have been trained to respect your privacy at all times and those employees with access to your personal information shall use your personal information strictly in accordance with the CASLT Privacy Policy and the laws applicable to each specific business.
