Here are some online resources that can help you integrate music in your teaching of Spanish as a second language:

Lyrics & Sound Files

Canciones populares de Europa - España — songs listed by regions of Spain. Includes children's songs and popular songs with lyrics, sheet music, and midi files.

Música de los Andes...y cercano - a large selection of music from the Andes and neighbouring regions, with Realaudio sound files.

Songs in Spanish at lyricsofsongs.com - songs are listed alphabetically by the singers names and by the titles of the songs.

Spanish Songs of Musical Spanish - audio samples of 10 Spanish songs of various length in RealAudio. One of these comes with a full set of lesson plans, another with an interactive sound puzzle

(Macromedia Flash format), and yet another with an animation (Macromedia Flash format). Lyrics are provided for some of them or are obtainable via email.

Archivo de Tablaturas y Acordes de Música en Español -  canciones en español. Lyrics and guitar chords in a searchable database of  contemporary and traditional Spanish songs.

Cancionero.com - lyrics of English and Spanish songs with guitar chords.

Centro Musical de Acordes Guitarra - a searchable site for lyrics and guitar chords.

El Mariachi Songs - there are boleros, corridos, sones, rancheras, and other song lyrics in this searchable database.

The Peruvian Musical Corner - the Spaniards brought and spread in Peru beautiful and original Christmas Carols, with the generic name of "Villancicos”. The list includes 20 songs and for most of these both the lyrics and a midi sound file are provided.

Music of Bolivia - a large collection of Bolivian music in Real Audio and Media Player formats.

Music from Columbia - a few Midi sound files with lyrics.
