A Review of the Literature on English as a Second Language (ESL) Issues (2008) - The Language Research Centre at the University of Calgary was contracted by Alberta Education to produce an annotated bibliography on diverse aspects of education related to English as a Second Language (ESL) students. Learning English BBC World Service - The site contains material for learners grouped around five categories which presents new language, explains difficult words and phrases, and gives you the chance to practice it.

Web English Teacher - contains a good list of annotated links to ESL Web sites. (Note: some of the material here would only be suitable for adults.)
