Part A. Information Hunt
- Go to the official Montreal Canadians hockey team website: http://canadiens.nhl.com/
- Do some research for your interview. Find the following information:
- Name five of the present hockey players on the team.
- Find a player who comes from your province or a neighbouring province.
- What date was the last game?
- What was the score of this game?
- Who was the opposing team?
- What is the date for the next game?
- Who will be the opposing team?
- What can you buy at the Canadian's Souvenirs Boutique?
- What is the Boutique's address?
- What does the "H" mean on the official logo "CH"?
- How much do tickets cost for a game? Choose one game and fill in the following table:

- On what date was the first game played at the Forum?
- Find two pieces of information about Maurice "The Rocket" Richard.

Part B. An Interview or Sports Report!
Now you are ready to prepare your interview or sports report! you will play a role with a partner.
- Choose your roles. Student A: interviewer or reporter. Student B : player, past player (for example, the "Rocket"), a trainer, a coach, a fan or other,
- Choose le subject of your interview: games (past or future), the history of the team, an interesting event in the NHL (past or present), or other.
- Write at least 5 questions and answers for your interview or report. Make sure the verbs you use are in the correct tense - past, present or future - based on whether your questions reflect something that has happened, is happening or will happen. Possible questions: Who scored the goal? What teams played in the league? What do you think of the situation? Who is the best goaltender? Why will they win the game? Who will play?
- Prepare your interview or report. Incorporate your questions and something to keep your audience's interest.
- Practice your interview.
- Present your interview in front of the class. Be enthusiastic!
