Overview of Activity:

Students locate information for the purpose of making reservations for a train trip.

Learning Outcomes / Technical Skills:

The students will be required to:
o locate the necessary information for taking a train trip;
o understand a telephone conversation and make reservations;
o become familiar with the Saguenay region;
o access and navigate a website;
o send a message to an associate by e-mail (optional). 

Learning Scenario:

Each pair of students will listen to a sound file and complete an information table. You require << Real Player>> to hear the conversation. If Real Player 5.0 is not installed on your system, you can obtain it by downloading it from the following site : Real Player.

Each pair must have access to the Internet and navigate to the following Via Rail web site.

Students read carefully and find the pertinent information for taking their trip. Each group prepares a dialogue, a telephone conversation, to reserve a train ticket. Each group prepares a message to share the information about their trip plans.
