MYLO: Information for schools and teachers – This free KS3 and KS4 language learning resource from the UK Department for Education is “designed to engage young people in learning languages, to raise their competence, and to encourage them to continue studying languages...” French, Spanish, German and Mandarin modules are presently available in MYLO. Further modules in these languages will be added over time.

Live Mocha - Online course in English, French, German, Spanish, Madarin Chinese, Spanish making use of interactive exercises with sound and images. The Web site also offers the possiblility of interaction with other language learners through a Facebook style interface. Registration is required but there is no cost to do so.
clip2go - The Web site makes use of videos, photos, text or audio (MP3) to help learners of English, German and Spanish. Elements of social networking are also integrated into the site allowing members to share and support each other in the learning process. Registration (no cost) is required to use some of the features of the site.
BBC — Languages — The pages on the BBC web site offer much that is of value for second language learning. The English, French, German, Spanish, Italian sections each provide: online courses; news and feature articles with transcripts, sound clips, notes on grammatical elements, mini glossaries of key words and expressions used; useful phrases for work, for traveling, and for other occasions; interactive online activities and games; and much more. Other languages are also featured on the web site, although to a lesser extent.
Languages Online — Languages Online is for students learning French, German, Indonesian or Italian. There are over 200 engaging interactive tasks and games in each language that introduce, reinforce and recycle vocabulary. They are self-paced and self-correcting and can be repeated as desired. Activities are presented in 33 topic-based sections, and include recordings of a range of native speakers. Languages Online also includes over 170 printable worksheets with a variety of guided speaking, reading, writing and research tasks to complement the online activities. A range of support features assist teachers and students to make the most of each activity.
LangMedia: Resources for World Languages — Provides examples of authentic language spoken in its natural cultural environment so that students of all ages can better understand the interplay between a language and its culture. Both video and audio files are available.
