Formative Evaluation in the Core French Classroom: Teachers’ Professional Development Videotape and Handbook Clearly demonstrates characteristics of quality classroom evaluations in French as a second language classrooms. The handbook provides overhead materials and suggested workshop activities to effectively present the methods employed in the video to groups of Core French teachers. Highlights evaluation methods to support student communicative skills. Illustrates a variety of assessment tasks including observation, performance assessment, peer and self assessment. The video and guide are available in both English and French.
