Diane Tijman is a District Curriculum Coordinator for Richmond School District. Under that umbrella, she is responsible for supporting second language teachers of French (Immersion and Core), Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, German and Punjabi. She has a Masters of Arts in Second Language Education from the University of British Columbia. Over the twenty-four years that she has been involved in education, Diane has taught French, Spanish, English and ESL in BC as well as taught ESL in Cuba. Diane is also the vice-president of the British Columbia Association of Teachers of Modern Language (BCATML).

Title of Workshop/Presentation: Chantons et Jouons! The use of songs and games in the Core French Classroom

Language of Delivery: French and / or English

Target Audience: Grades 4 - 10

Session Description:
In this practical, hands-on workshop, sing and play your heart out while
learning about multiple intelligences and language learning. Songbook and
gamebook included.

Preferred Length of Time: 2 hours
