Lynnette Babin has been teaching French Immersion in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia since 1999. A graduate of a late French Immersion program, Lynnette is a proud Francophile with Acadian roots. She has just completed her Masters In Education in Leadership at Acadia University, and enjoys research projects with her students. She has shared her ideas and energies throughout the Maritime Provinces, and is particularly interested in encouraging parents to stay involved in their children’s’ education.

Target Audience: French Immersion program, elementary or junior high
Session Description: The workshop is designed for parents of French Immersion students, or for teachers or administrators interested in offering such a service to their school community. This dynamic workshop includes French Immersion activities, instruction on how to use a dictionary and Besherelle, strategies for second language learners and resources available to people wishing to have more French in their lives. Participants will receive the handbook ‘I Want to Help, but I Don’t Understand the Question!”.
Preferred Length of Time: 1.5 hrs
