Board of Directors

The CASLT Board of Directors operates as a policy-setting body with overall responsibility for establishing the organization's strategic directions, public relations, member services, and financial goals. We endeavour to achieve a diversity of perspectives through board representation from across the second language education community, as well as broad geographical distribution. The Board also welcomes support from individuals who have an interest in promoting CASLT's goals for the good of Canadian society.

National Council

CASLT’s National Council consists of volunteer representatives from each province and territory who support and promote CASLT’s activities and initiatives in their respective regions. National Council representatives attend provincial language association meetings in a liaison role, represent CASLT at language teacher events, promote participation in CASLT’s programs, contribute to CASLT’s committees, and encourage membership recruitment and retention. Their terms are two years, and they can serve up to three consecutive terms.
